University is where ideas should be contested: in seminars, in societies, and with people who don't think like you. That's what learning is — putting forward something you're unsure about, hearing an opposing view, and thinking again.
For a lot of students it doesn't work that way. They stay quiet because of what speaking would cost them socially, societies drop speakers under pressure, and some are investigated by their own universities for lawfully held views.

We don't ask whether we agree with you, only whether you were exercising your lawful right to speak.

The £14.99 rate applies to your first year. Subsequent years are billed at the Silver Concessionary rate of £29.99 for as long as you remain a student. Cancel any time. Support is discretionary if you are penalised for exercising your lawful right to free speech; legal assistance is available in the UK only.
