We’re about to respond to the Bar Standards Board’s consultation about changing its rule book, whereby the core duty of barristers not to discriminate unlawfully against any person is replaced with a new core duty requiring them to advance equality, diversity and inclusion. We have various concerns about this, which you can read about in our draft response.
