Vinay Kapoor
Vinay Kapoor is the Free Speech Union's Education and Engagement Officer. A first-class Politics graduate from the University of Warwick, he founded Warwick Speak Easy — a free speech society that hosted speakers from across the political spectrum.
Vinay has spoken at sixth forms, colleges, and universities across the UK, including at the Durham Union. His sessions have covered free speech law and policy in the UK, tolerance and its limits, and real-world case studies drawn from FSU casework and public debate.

Sixth Form & College Sessions
Sessions are arranged with teachers. All sessions are interactive, non-partisan, and rooted in real cases. All sessions are free of charge.
Interactive, discussion-based sessions tailored to your group — whether the aim is curriculum enrichment, careers insight, or a stimulating discussion about live political and legal questions. Sessions map closely onto the A Level Politics specification — particularly pressure groups, political ideologies (with a focus on liberalism), and rights in context — all of which connect directly to free speech debates today.
- Freedom of Speech, Tolerance and the Law The legal framework, the harm principle, and real FSU case studies — including Linzi Smith and Lucy Connolly — with discussion of what students would do in each scenario.
- Freedom of Speech in the UK — the work of the FSU Live cases, campaigns, and what it means to defend lawful speech in the current climate.
- Careers in Politics Vinay's own journey — from studying Politics at A Level, to founding a free speech society at Warwick, participating in international fellowships, and building a network across politics and public life — with practical advice on how to get started and make the most of opportunities while you are still a student.
