Premier League Subject Access Requests

Free Speech Union member Linzi Smith has been banned from attending Newcastle United games for the remainder of this season and the next two because she expressed her belief on social media that sex is binary and immutable.

In the course of defending Linzi, we discovered that her social media activity had been monitored by a surveillance unit embedded in the Premier League – a unit that Newcastle asked to investigate Linzi on its behalf.

We believe that hundreds – perhaps thousands – of fans of Premier League clubs have also been investigated by this shadowy intelligence agency. If you think this unit might have opened a file on you – and perhaps passed on that information to the Premier League club you support – please make use of this form to submit a Subject Access Request to both your club and the League to see what information it’s holding on you.

If you discover there is a file on you, let us know and we’ll do our best to get it deleted.

Here’s how you can take action

Just select your club from the drop-down list, enter your details to generate the email and click send. Your request will be sent to your selected club and the Premier League.

Organisations are legally required to respond to your request within one month. They may ask you to provide identification so that they know the identity of the requester. If it is requested, then you will need to provide it to them directly.
