Making a crypto gift to the Free Speech Union using the form on this page is a simple three-step process:

1. From the dropdown menu, select your preferred crypto and enter your gift amount.
2. Type in your email and basic info (or choose to give anonymously).
3. Make your gift using the generated crypto address.

You should only send your crypto donation to the address generated by the widget on this page. If you send your crypto to a different address or send the wrong type of crypto to the address generated, then it will be irrevocably lost. All cryptocurrency donations are final and the FSU will therefore be unable to offer refunds. As with all online transactions, you should take care when entering your information and follow reasonable security measures with your personal information.

Normal blockchain transaction fees will be deducted from your donation when you send your crypto to the address generated. These fees can vary considerably and you may wish to take this into account when choosing your cryptocurrency and/or the timing of your donation.

Crypto donations to the FSU are processed securely in partnership with The Giving Block and Gemini Trust Exchange. Once received by The Giving Block, your donation is exchanged for cash, at the given rate, and transferred to the FSU’s bank account. This process reduces the risk of fluctuating exchange rates.

The FSU cannot advise you on any potential tax implications of your crypto donation. You should contact a certified financial adviser if you have any concerns in this regard or with crypto more generally.
