Cardiff Summer Speakeasy

July 14, 2022 at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm UTC+0

Join us in The Grosvenor Room of The Sandringham Hotel for an informal meet-up of FSU members and others concerned about freedom of speech.

We will be there from 7pm, with a special guest speaker, Professor Andrew Tettenborn, speaking on the subject ‘The Uses and Abuses of Hate Speech Legislation’ at 7.40pm, followed by a Q and A until 8.15pm and social until 10pm.

If you are not a member of the Free Speech Union, but are supportive of freedom of speech, you are welcome to come along and find out more about us. You can find more information about what we do here.

Professor Andrew Tettenborn is a legal academic and a prolific writer for, among others, the Spectator and Spiked. He stood for Parliament in 2001 as a UKIP candidate and is a long-standing defender of freedom of speech. He is a member of the Free Speech Union’s Legal Advisory Council and of Academics for Academic Freedom.

You must register to attend, but there’s no need to print your ticket.
