The fact that details of this funding arrangement are now in the public domain is thanks in part to the Free Speech Union. Last year, the Free Speech Union assisted Philip Davies MP (Con: Shipley) with preparing a written parliamentary question asking the government how much funding FCDO had given the GDI over the previous three years.
